PEACE BEYOND THE USUAL 2
Benefits Of The Peace Of God
1.Unceasing; unhindered communication with the God-head. Rm 5:1; Rm. 8:14-15. Because it is this peace that really characterizes the salvation of our souls(peace with God), it makes believers enjoy free flow of relationship with the Holy Spirit that results into enjoying divine directions as well as accessing the throne of grace, even with confidence for divine help. Heb. 4:16; Is.30:21.
2.Accessibility to the kingdom's Commonwealth. Rm. 8:17. We also enjoy accessibility to our inheritance in Christ through this peace.
3.Your ability to make right decision is enhanced. Rm. 8:14. With this peace we enjoy as children of God, we are able to make right decisions per time because of the mind Christ in us. Therefore, our minds are not beclouded, so we can align our judgement with the word of God.
4. Safety is guaranteed. Prov. 16:7. So when you experience this peace, fear of any kind is far from your life because God takes pleasure in your life and all that concerns you.
5. Accessibility to the dimension of peace that is predicated upon mercy. Rm. 9:14-15. Here, the dimension of peace that is exclusively outside of what you do or don't is at work for you.
6. Our candidature of heaven is guaranteed. Rm. 8:17b. Yes, because of this peace we constantly express, we are ever ready to reign with Him.
2. The peace of man: This is the kind of peace that is generated and expressed by nature; inbuilt in every man with little or no influence of the Holy Spirit. Also, Jesus implied in John 14:27 that there is a kind of peace that is of the world, that is, the peace of man.
Characteristics of the peace of man
1. It is a natural. Gen. 3:7 ... Because it is characterized by our human sense of judgement, it has little or no connection with the Holy Spirit
2. It is limited in expression. John 4:7. So for the reason above also, it is limited in its expression, that is, in what it can contain and can be done through it. For unbelievers, it is the reason why they cannot contain certain things but we believers can; unbelievers cannot endure certain things but believers can ...
3. It is for all, both believers and unbelievers. Gen3:7. Both believers and unbelievers express it. This explain why some unbelievers can express a measure of tranquility in some instances, even without them having Holy Spirit in them. Hence, we believers are at advantage over unbelievers because of the Holy Spirit in us.
4. It only enables us to build natural capacity. John 4:27. Above all, it can only succeed in building or contain ability within the reach of the natural sense as much as possible.
5. It grows, to a large extent, irrespective of some factors such as age, education, background and so on. This explains the reason why you see at times, adults who are unbelievers are doing things that are not even expected of children.
