PEACE BEYOND THE USUAL 3

Dimensions Of Peace
I want to sincerely appreciate you for your patience since we have started this series on 'Peace Beyond The Usual'. According to our outline- already in series 1, we shall now discuss what I called 'Dimensions Of Peace'.

By dimensions, I meant the levels; extent in which peace can find expression. They form the foundation or root for both types of peace already explained in series 1 and 2. They are referred to as Peace Within and Peace Without.

1. Peace Within: This is the dimension of peace that comes from inside of a man to the outside. This is further divided into:

I. Peace with God: This is peace in dimension that radiates from inside of a man when he reconciles with God.  In other words, it comes when a man gives his life to Christ. This is dominant in every believer. 'Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.' Romans 5:1

II. Peace with oneself: This is peace in dimension that comes from a man's natural sense of judgement about his decisions on issues. The scripture says that 'For as he thinks in his heart, so is he ...'. Prov. 23:7. This is very dominant in unbelievers and it explains why many people especially, unbelievers  are comfortable with or justify clearly distasteful acts. 'And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting'

2. Peace Without: This is the dimension of peace that exudes from outside of a man or God (divine) being the third party. That is, the peace from man's external environment. This is also further divided into:

I. Peace With Others: 'Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord'. Heb. 12:14. This is the peace in dimension that directly comes from an individual to others. In other words, it results from ones relationship with other people, ranging from ones home to outside of the home.

II. Peace Beyond: This is the expression of peace strictly from the divine (to bring calmness) to the affairs of individuals. This has nothing or little to do with salvation. It is for both believers or unbelievers.  In other words, it is a product of mercy!  'Hecauses His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous'. Matt. 5:45

... to be continued ...

Please don't hesitate to reach us if this teaching blesses you. We need your encouragement to do more so that we can all continually be edified and coming up to the fullness of Christ!
